Remediation premiered to sold out audiences at Warehouse XI in September 2023 and was supported by a Live Arts Boston [LAB] Grant awarded by The Boston Foundation.
This immersive theater show blends live music, video, and theatrical performance to transport attendees into the ThotBot Storyworld. It's like you're going to an underground meeting of the Resistance to learn how to purposefully glitch your ThotBot and thus subvert the fascist regime known as The ULTRA.
This show also features audience interaction by way of little puzzles called "Commercial Breaks" that occur throughout the evening. They are so-called because if you were in this mid-90s dystopia and needed to glitch your ThotBot, what would be more deeply embedded in your pre-Impact memory than the commercial jingles of the 80s and 90s? Audience members are invited to solve these mini quizzes to win prizes.
Remediation represents the first ThotBot Episode that comes from a point of view other than that of The ULTRA. It explores themes of mental health (vis a vis memory and emotion) and healing after personal and/or collective trauma.

A companion piece to Remediation and a means of promoting performances, pleaseglitch.me is the website for OMEGA, the Resistance organization in the ThotBot Storyworld. It represents the first time we are learning about the ThotBot Storyworld from the perspective of this subversive group.
In addition to a Manifesto and other basic organizational information, the site also hosts a library of "contraband" (anything that evokes a memory and/or provokes an emotion), that is, content users can consume in order to glitch their ThotBot remotely. This comes in the form of television advertisements, which also feature prominently in Remediation.
When surfing this website on the Information Superhighway, some might find that one website is password protected. This area can be accessed by attending a Remediation session, obtaining a code cracker, and using the contraband menu to solve the puzzle, reveal the password, and gain access to 10040's Glitch File. This contains some media that is guaranteed to glitch Reagan Esther Myer.
